Performance range

This instruction applies to all domestically produced and imported products that are declared organic.

Responsibility

The implementation of this instruction is the responsibility of the experts of the General Directorate of Food and Beverage Products, and the Director General oversees its proper implementation.

definitions

  • Organic products: Organic agricultural products are products that do not use synthetic chemicals in their production process. Environmental, health, social and safety indicators have been observed in the production of organic products. The whole process of production, processing, packaging, storage, transportation, working conditions, social conditions, supply and labeling of these products is under the control and monitoring of a valid international, regional or national certification system and standard.
  • Products in Transition to Organic: For the production of organic produce, land, livestock or aquaculture is monitored and controlled to remove any synthetic chemicals. During the control period, the product from which it is harvested is called a product in transition to organic.
